I've bought at charity shops in a local town for years, I don't know what's happened recently but there is just rubbish. Bobbley Primark and supermarket clothing. I have donated decent items - M & S Autograph and such like and never seen it for sale in the shop I left it at. And I do a weekly visit so find it unlikely all my items have been snapped up. I've come to the conclusion that the better items are sent to what are perceived as "More upmarket areas" and we're getting the tat.

I volunteer at a charity shop. I doubt they are sending it on, each shop has a target so they want to sell the good stuff themselves to make as much money as possible.
More likely it is getting snapped up as soon as it is put out. Our donations are getting worse. I think people are selling good stuff on eBay/Vinted.

I went on a book buying binge in my local charity shops yesterday. Got Daniel Defoe’s Journal of the Plague Year which I was looking to buy new only the day before, and about 20 brand new Horrible Histories books for my daughter for around a tenner. Fantastic!

No bargains for me. I did try on a nice Pop London dress that was cotton but it had one buttons missing which would have been a faff to buy a replacement and sew on etc.

Not sure about that
We have a local hospice with shops across 3 towns
I donated in 1 and saw my stuff in another in a poorer part of town about 3 months later.
