What's best with Gammon!

What sauce goes best with Gammon - I've seen people have parsley sauce with it (but I always associate that with fish) or just gravy (I like to make my own but I can't with Gammon). So any suggestions. Thinking of roasties and veg with it if that helps!! Thanks

I’ve just seen mushy peas suggested - they only live with fish and chips or top of a meat and tater pie with loads of gravy!

Jacket potatoes, cauliflower cheese, spiced red cabbage with apples, and mustard sauce.

Cheese sauce, mash and peas or gammon (egg for the wrong uns in my family) and chips. No vegetables or sauce required.

I either boil it or Chuck it in the slow cooker. Can't be doing with gammon steaks any more by grill is a pita

I do dauphinois potatoes with gammon as the creamy rich sauce works well with the salty gammon, and some greens of some sort.

Creamy leek sauce

Cheese sauce here. Or cauliflower cheese even better.

Mashed potatoes (or roast potatoes), peas and cheese sauce, or cauliflower cheese

I sometimes do this. I've decided to do latkes tonight, with fried eggs.

Thank you for the great suggestions - pineapples and cheese variants are getting a lot of love! So that's sorted, cauliflower cheese and charred pineapple rings. I would never have thought of apple sauce with it either and I love apple sauce so that's going on the side!

We used to have it with chips and egg but that gives me indigestion. Now we have it with parsley sauce, mash and peas.

Loving the idea of cauliflower cheese and a spud, and mustard sauce with mash and veg.

Love a nice bit of gammon.

We always have sauerkraut with gammon and a mustardy sauce. But that is not everyone's cup of tea 😄

Parsley sauce with lots of parsley, mashed potatoes, broccoli/purple sprouting or tender stem broccoli.

Peppercorn sauce is lovely with gammon, some veg, new potatoes etc!

Joint - something cheesy. New potato's, csuli/Leeks in cheese sauce. Peas.

I can second that gammin cooked in Coke is lovely.
