Hiya, I’m a young mum and I’m struggling to find mums to follow on Instagram that are just ‘regular people’ can people drop their username so I can give you a follow🙂

I don't use Instagram but I'm curious as to why you want to do this?

No judgement. Just curious!

Instagram is what I tend to scroll on not really Facebook or tiktok and all that comes up is ‘perfect mums’ with nothing relatable in the slightest - like my house is normally a mess on account of the 3 kids and they always post theirs to look immaculate.
I was just hoping to find some ‘real’ people

I agree Op, I used to really enjoy Emily Norris but her lifestyle has just morphed into some sort of wannabe celeb like bonanza and she’s constantly hawking products, just completely unrelateable now. I like a scroll so would also be interested in more relatable accounts.

Ah, I see. Tbh, I'd just scroll past those or stop following them.

I've owned children for 24 years now and, tbh, I've followed own instincts for pretty much everything. I'd avoid comparing your home, your children and your life to anyone else's. You're not living a reality TV show or an Instagram feed - you're living real life.

In reality, so are they...

I had a friend who used to post look at my amazing family type posts on fb. It used to make me roll my eyes and laugh in equal measure. All the replies would he about how lucky they were, what a great dad he was, how wonderful his children were. I was quite often present for some of these photo opportunities and tbh you could cut the atmosphere in their house with a knife. He would be in constant arguments with the kids to get them to co-operate and the exciting cooking opportunities carefully hid the clutter and chaos behind the camera. In essence, what he posted on line was a VERY carefully curated version of their lives.

Don't believe everything to see online.

I'd be interested in this too. I never watch the "perfect lives/perfect homes" ones but I do follow TOMM because she's very honest about why she started doing the method.
