Feet aching - was ut your feet? Back? Something else

Long story so I’ll try keep it short

I developed aching feet that would feel hot whilst walking when I was in Blackpool for the day, walking around in heeled boots in my 40’s
After a while if it nit going I went to podiatrist who gave me night splint. This did nothing
fast forward a few years, still having aches in feet .
i decided again to go see orthopaedic consultant private, I had cortisol injection in my feet- ouch that bloody hurt what a shock.
I also had mri where same consultant diagnosed
plantar fasciitis
Orthotic made, still having really aching feet
Im talking years now of aching which would leave me feeling really old and tired after walking anywhere.

Ive been to see different consultants at the hospital in different fields. Nobody found anything significant

This has now been going on 25 yrs, some days a lot worse than others(no reason why) ither says underlying aches.
Ive had recent mri on feet and back via nhs
back results- degenerative disease
feet - Nothing!!

i recently went yet again to podiatrist for gait analysis, paid £120 to have it done and computer analysed
results - I walk harder on some places than others !
so yet again talked into orthotics, I’m sure this is all podiatrist sell you
I got top of the range £350+! Computer foot analysed orthotics
I started to break them in an hour a day and built it up. Feet where still really aching with/without orthotics
I’ve seen that many different physio’s, podiatrist
consultants, mri over last 25yrs I don’t know who’s given me right diagnoses😡

im at the end of my tether, I’m now retired and 65 now and feel about 90 when I’ve been just walking just round the shops for an hour
i feel my life style is determined by how much my feet ache as to what I can do.
Im not an old 65 yr old I’m quite youthful and active(apart from feet)

Has anyone had similar feet problems but NOT
Plantar fasciitis???

I have various foot problems including over pronation, mid foot arthritis in right foot and joint hyper mobility in ankles and knees. I've had many orthotics over the years. I had PF about 10 years ago.

The two things which have made the biggest difference are rocker sole trainers and decent orthotics. My orthotics don't work if I wear the wrong footwear. I can only wear one particular type of trainer that I buy from Amazon. I can't wear anything else outside on my feet. I wear pillow slides with orthotics glued inside instead of slippers. I buy new trainers every six months to ensure they're not going out of shape and losing support. I can't wear smart shoes, heels or sandals.

You need to look at your shoes. Orthotics will only take you half way to recovery.

If you can afford it, look at Kybun shoes. They'll send you a trial pair. I can't afford them so I just buy some £40 rocker sole trainers on Amazon, which are okay for now.
