Could it be appendicitis

DS has been unwell since Sat. Was fine all morning then randomly said he felt sick around lunchtime but wasn't sick and 10 mins later was fine and no longer felt sick. 2 hours later was sick once then fine and no more sick. Since then hasn't been himself a bit of a temperature, really lethargic has laid on sofa not moving much since Sat evening. Said he has no sore throat, doesn't have runny nose or ear ache. Yesterday morning took to drs as still unwell and said his tummy hurts just above belly button. He was a little teary when Dr examined his belly said could be possible swollen glands in stomach from virus (but throat and ears looked ok). Said to keep an eye on him for getting worse. Said pain was around a 5 then went down to a 3. Last night he just vomited out of nowhere on carpet twice but said he didn't feel sick it just happened. Then said stomach pain was a 7. He went to bed and no more vomiting till he came running in our room at 4am saying tummy hurts then threw up. Hes now asleep next to me but holding his tummy and every now and then I can see him wincing like it hurts in his sleep. Does it sound like appendicitis?

If you are concerned OP get him seen.

My daughter had appendicitis about 18 months ago and I can tell you our experience, though bear in mind it can be different from case to case.

DD was sent home from school feeling 'unwell'. Couldn't put a finger on what exactly but didn't feel right. About 4 hours later she started vomiting quite a lot but this stopped by bedtime and she managed to sleep through. The next day she didn't feel well so stayed in bed - she wasn't crying out in pain just said she had a stomach ache. It was much worse when she walked. It started at her belly button then moved to her lower right side. When she was lying still she didn't show she was in that much pain. Took me until that afternoon to realise what it could be and we went to hospital and although she was very uncomfortable she did manage to get another reasonable night's sleep (apart from machines beeping / babies crying etc). Her complexion looked a bit grey too. After one night in hospital she had her op and thankfully recovered very quickly after that.
I hope it's not appendicitis and that your little one makes a full recovery very quickly

Ime pain starts a little below the belly button then moves to lower right. If his is still around the belly button it's more likely to be gastritis. Does he have a temperature? Does it hurt when you press his belly? Odd thing our GP did - ask him if he can jump and watch his reaction.
If you feel he is worse than when doc saw him yesterday take him back (assuming that's what they said?). Hope he's feeling better soon Flowers

Pain is usually below belly button and starts central before moving more to the right.
Usually more comfortable with knees pulled upto chest than laid flat.

No it doesn't.

But definitely worth going to GP again as he's in so much pain.
