...what does it feel like?

I'm asking because DD (7) has this and I want to understand it better. She's not really articulating why she hates the look of holes.

Does it make you feel sick like, for me, someone dragging their fingernails on a carpet would?
Or does it make you anxious like before you have to have an injection or medical treatment?

If you have this fear do you also have OCD or obsessive thoughts? I'm wondering if the two go hand in hand but I hope not.

Can I ask a question about this? I have never noticed this sort of reaction in me until I read about trypophobia, googled it and saw some sample images that trigger people. They definitely gave me a reaction, in fact merely thinking of it makes me tingle and apprehensive.

Does this mean I have trypophobia, even though I have never ever noticed anything in real life triggering this before?

Now, if I merely imagine a trypophobia type of image on google search etc, I react to it with mostly an unpleasant tingly feeling all over.

Weirdly, I have ADHD and am affected by holes but not in a bad way. I am a sporner, I like videos of blackheads and pimple popping and it gives me a visceral feeling with goosebumps and head tingles but I enjoy it.

ADHDers are weird, aren't we?

Just the word hole makes my scalp itch and I feel sick. Perhaps it is a memory of the plague or something.

Everyone is in their own way. That’s the conclusion I’ve come to anyway!
