Your local library is likely to have an audiobooks app (my county uses BorrowBox but there are others). Books are free but you might have to hang on for very popular ones to become available.

I love listening to audiobooks. I use the Borrowbox app which let's you listen to books for free via your library (if they are signed up to it). Otherwise, you could sign up to a free trial of Audible it's 7.99 a month after this, for a book a month- but they do lots of sales.

Our library uses borrow box and Libby.
Audible is £7.99 a month and you get one credit to buy a book with included in that.
There’s also Scribd, which is about £10p/m but is more of a library so you can read or listen to anything that is on there. I found it a bit limited for me, but great for kids’ stuff. Worth a look though.
Or you can buy as you go through Apple Books if you have an iPhone. There must be plenty of other apps too.

The bbc sounds app has free stuff.

Libby is free with your library card, and Audible let you have 3 months at £3.99 if you just Google for half price Audible offer.

Audible you get one credit per month but also access to their Plus library which has lots of titles.

you just need the apps to listen and membership.
