Is it possible to restore cracking leather?

We have a lovely leather sofa. I've noticed one if the cushions is starting to crack. The rest are ok so don't want to go to the expense of recovering. Seem to be lots of products online but would like to know if anyone has had any success - equally if you've tried something that didn't work.
Thanks

Leather oil that you get from a tack shop - the stuff that is used on saddles etc
That will feed the leather and soften it etc

might need a few treatments as the leather will literally “drink” the oil

Thank you @Ickiness , will investigate

I’ve just bought some caranuba cream to restore a cracked leather bag, but not tried it yet.

I ride and clean tack and IMHO saddle soap which is what we use on saddles leaves a bit of a residue no matter how much you buff it.

@1990s not the soap as that does leave a residue - I’m on about the old fashioned leather oil which soaks in and feeds the leather

Renapur. I use it on cracked riding boots and it doesn't reverse the damage but softens and slows the cracking.

There is also a leather paint. Classic car restorers use it. I don't know if it's available to the public.

It fills the cracks and is flexible.

Renapur is the best thing I've ever used on leather. Suzy on The Repair Shop uses it and works miracles.

Thanks all. Sounds like Renapur's the one to try - is that the balsam people are recommending? Thanks again
