Is there a soft way of saying I want to be alone?

I know, this is MN, and everyone will probably say ‘just say you want to be alone.’

But I want a weekend ‘off.’ I desperately want to sleep in a hotel, not wake up to shouting/crying, have a proper lie in and wander round some shops. ALONE!

If I say to Dh that this is what I want, he wants to come too, which means DS(2)
comes too, which negates the point!

Help!?

I understand the tricky ness of this. DH loves you and wonders why you need time alone away from him and your lovely ds who you both adore.
Could you tell him time alone to just think about only you for a short time will bring you back to a better place which will benefit everyone. And it's actually healthy to have that time, everyone needs it. Perhaps offer him a few hours of alone time if he doesn't get any.
