@mrxrsx ignore the ones trying to make you feel bad for this. If you don’t like how you end up looking and have the money to change it then go for it. I’m all for body positivity but what’s the point in pretending you’re happy with something if you’re not?

His name is Cameron Raine but I'm in Scotland so may not be any good for you.

☺️ thank you

You might not even "need" one OP. I'm an older mum, had massive babies with massive bumps. No stretch marks,no saggy skin.

I think people saying it's sad, well I think they might feel its sad that this is what you're thinking about in pregnancy and at your young age.

I do though, clearly remember feeling panicked in my first pregnancy that my body was changing abd there was nothing I coukd do about it. I felt out of control.

didn’t want the child in the first place if you see my previous posts i’ve been forced to do so. the person who forced me will love the child if i don’t. that’s a horrendous thing to say and i am guilty towards my unborn baby that’s he’s brought into the world like that but that’s the truth. so either way might as well feel good or attempt to bounce back if i need to. tbh with having a pot belly and bloat looking like i’m pregnant naturally pre pregnancy and maybe a planned/emergency c section i probably will need it. don’t need a forced birth and a shit body on top.

I think I paid it in two halves, as a deposit and then the rest the day before.

thanks

Any reputable plastic surgeon will require you to wait at least six months after giving birth before having invasive plastic surgery. This will give your abdominal tissue a chance to heal fully before you have a tummy tuck

thanks

I absolutely agree to have one if needed. Just bear in mind that you might totally bounce back. I’ve not read your previous threads but it sounds horrific from what you say here about the circumstances. I really hope everything works out for you.

Not the same surgery but the doctors said I needed my gallbladder out after pregnancy and they said they'd wait until I was 6 months postpartum because of the excess blood you produce in pregnancy and the likelihood of excessive bleeding and needing intervention is higher if you have it sooner. I did read that celebrities have a c-section and tummy tuck at the same time but I'm not sure how true that is. I had a c-section and the recovery was quite tough so you maybe want to wait a while before having the surgery due to tenderness etc.

@Jesko Did you loose feeling in your abdominal region for a while afterwards? Wasn't sure if it was like a c-section in that regard. Thanks.

Jesko · 18/03/2023 13:38

@1stTimeMummy2021 yes the loss of feeling is permanent I believe, as every layer of muscle had to be cut through. It improved a lot from the beginning but I imagine has plateaued now.

I barely notice it now; such a small price to pay for me.

Bemyclementine · 18/03/2023 13:40

@jesko blimey. Maybe calm down and actually read my post. There was no judgement there at ALL.

@mrxrsx I'm sorry, I don't know your history. I said I felt out of control in a changing body and that was with a long wanted pregnancy, so I can only imagine how you're feeling. 💐

mrxrsx · 18/03/2023 13:49

Oh yeah i’ve had treatments before that haven’t worked i had a pot belly and bloated sometimes i looked 3 months pregnant anyway so i’m not expecting a flat washboard stomach but i can at least try to get back to original shape or close and if not then i guess just have to accept.

and thank you i hope so too

Ok @Bemyclementine maybe I quoted the wrong post, I just got frustrated at the 'oh it's so sad' posts when it's really not sad at all, it's been nothing but the biggest positive for me, and it's not really helpful for the OP for others to judge her choices.

it’s alright. i know we shouldn’t feel pressured by society to bounce back and accept pregnancy and birth is life changing and a wonderful natural experience but we do live in a certain world that measures/judges on looks etc and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to fix the way you look.

Also I know older mums/middle age + in general can have hang ups about the way they look/body aging and feeling ugly/invisible but i think it can be easier for older mums especially after a certain age to accept the way they look and know looks weren’t ever that important but younger people in 20’s like myself haven’t gotten to that stage yet and with society it’s harder to accept how we look.

Jesko · 18/03/2023 15:01

No it doesn't @mrxrsx

It's literally a numbness if you touch certain areas of your lower stomach. Has no other impart at all.

Yes this is why I said it was sad. I wasn't being judgemental at all.

Minta85 · 18/03/2023 16:25

Also bear in mind that you need to be as close to your ideal weight as possible to get the best results from the surgery. So it’s not just a question of how soon after pregnancy the surgeon is willing to operate on you, but also if you’ve lost the baby weight and your weight has been stable for a good few months.

mrxrsx · 19/03/2023 20:56

well my weight fluctuates pre pregnancy anyway. and sometimes before pregnancy i would bloat so much i looked pregnant anyway. i had a pot belly so i’m not expecting flat washboard abs just something to help diastics recti and if i need it. i’m scared of it not working/looking weird but I can try. Midwife has confirmed i’ve got recti already so.
