Where is dh?

Dh went out last night - still not home, no answer on his phone, very unlike him. Worried and angry in equal measure. Please handhold until he walks through the door with an excuse and apology.

Do you both have iPhones so you can add each others devices through find my phone? I have my partners phone set up on mine so he can find it when he loses it! It does mean you can see quite accurately where the phone is and therefore your partner if they’re together.

perhaps he went home with a friend from work, had some breakfast & fell asleep on their settee and they covered him with a blanket and they're all still sleeping?

no sleep, warm, child free house....

Veryverycalmnow · 11/03/2023 08:43

Oh no, I hope he comes back soon. Poor you having all that worry.

alsonotmyname · 11/03/2023 08:44

He's called!
Very sorry, very apologetic- he went back to a colleagues house and couldn't get a taxi, fell asleep.
He should have text me then and I'll be having words when he rocks up.
I know the most obvious explanation was what happened but it doesn't stop you worrying when it's so out of character, he's a good husband and a good dad who would never normally do this so it had me worried
Thanks for hand holding everyone

Why do people automatically presume the DH is a bad person who has behaved in a shitty way? I'd be worried something had happened to him if it's unusual behaviour.

Because 99% of the time, they have behaved in a shitty way.

These threads always end the same way - they haven't been in touch because they've passed out on someone's sofa or their phone has died. They then stumble in mid-morning looking like shit and take themselves off to bed.

It's a tale as old as time.

Generally if someone is involved in an accident, the police or emergency services will contact you.

Ha, x post.

Told you so OP! At least he's okay but he's a shit for not texting you last night. It's such thoughtless behaviour.

I agree, and whilst the threads do always end the same way it was nice to have something to help whilst I waited to stop my head going to all the bad places.
He's been an arse and behaved really badly but there will be no going off to bed I'm off out!
