Look & Read TV Series

Can anyone ( old enough ) remember the look & read TV series that used to be shown in schools to us in the 80's and early 90's?

The one I particularly remember was The Boy From Space, it absolutely used to scare the shit out of me as a kid.

Another was Dark Towers, pure frightening!!

And also the theme tune/starting credits of Tales of the unexpected still puts the fear of God in me to this day! 😂

What happened to the set? Do you know where I could get one from?

I loved look and read. The whole year group crammed into one room with the TV on wheels. Sharing the paper book and singing along with no shame. LOL.

My favourite story was definitely the dark tower.

There was a look and read fan website about 15 years ago and the guy that ran it burned a set of dvds for me in exchange for some old copies of the teachers notes.

The site is now called broadcast for schools .
