Who is in the wrong?

Teacher A has been looking for a set of books all term and had asked everyone if they had them. No one had.

Teacher B is furious because Teacher A got them from her cupboard after she had left for the evening.

A doesn't think she's done anything wrong and B is fuming.

if the books belong to the school, then B needs to be up on a disciplinary

But are you sure they belong to the school? The only way B's behaviour makes any sense is if they had bought the books out of their own money

Disciplinary on what grounds?

frozenicicles · 09/03/2023 18:44

Yes, they're a set of geography textbooks. It's strange because no one thinks B was using them, and if she 'didn't know' they were there, she can't really be so pissed off.

Disciplinary on what grounds?

withholding resources from another teacher who's class needs them

EVHead · 09/03/2023 18:47

Disciplinary! I’d like to see how far that would get! 😂

frozenicicles · 09/03/2023 18:49

The whole saga is so ridiculous a disciplinary would fit in well!

To be honest I'd be a bit miffed if someone had been searching around my classroom but that's mostly because I used to buy a lot of my own resources that would 'walk away of their own accord' 🤨

I would also have known if there was a whole set of text books in my room.

Unless teacher A has searched multiple classrooms, I suspect another teacher or more likely a TA has told her on the QT that the books were in teacher Bs room. Which means it wasn't 'searched' just the books retrieved.

Eitherway teacher B has no business being furious.

withholding resources from another teacher who's class needs them

Do you really think that's grounds for disciplinary action?

I actually think B's more in the wrong.

So do I.
And a bit of a weirdo for pretending they didn't have them.

Wallywobbles · 09/03/2023 21:19

B lied first.

Wallywobbles · 09/03/2023 21:20

If B didn't have them A can't have taken them.
