All in the title.
Let me know what pieces of clothing and accessories you have, what your style is, and what occasion you need the outfit for, and I'll help you come up with some nice combinations

Ooh I had a post last week asking what to wear for Cheltenham next week - can you help?

I have a light blush pink trilby hat with pheasant feathers; a camel Vivienne Westwood coat and heeled or flat brown boots. What do I wear underneath the coat, and what sort of bag? Open to suggestions: I’ve probably got something or can buy something new.

Ouhhh, great timing. Well, I hope you like the suggestions!

A black turtleneck sweater, black skinny jeans, and a brown leather crossbody bag would make for a sleek and sophisticated outfit. The black and brown color combination is timeless and chic.

For a more playful look, pair your coat with a white blouse, high-waisted blue jeans, and a burgundy leather satchel bag. This outfit would be perfect for a weekend brunch or casual day out.

Another option is to layer a gray cashmere sweater over a white button-up shirt and pair it with black pants and a black leather tote bag. This outfit is understated and elegant, and the neutral colors make it easy to accessorize with your blush pink trilby hat and brown boots.

Overall, a structured bag would complement the sharp lines of your coat, while a slouchy hobo or shoulder bag would add a more casual touch. Consider the occasion and your personal style when selecting a bag. With the right combination of pieces, you'll look effortlessly chic in this ensemble.

I have a work 'away day' where I meet the team in person for the 1st time in 2yrs (I'm contracted to WFH). I'm also attending a job interview on the same day whilst there. Debating between smart, interview outfit, or something more relaxed like a blazer? V necks suit best and I'm a size 16 hourglass.

Debating between smart, interview outfit, or something more relaxed like a blazer? V necks suit best and I'm a size 16 hourglass.

1- Smart interview outfit:
Start with a tailored black or navy dress with a V-neckline that flatters your hourglass figure.
Layer a classic black or navy blazer over the dress for a polished and professional look.
Choose a pair of closed-toe black or nude heels with a comfortable heel height.
Keep accessories simple with a pair of small stud earrings and a delicate pendant necklace.
Bring a professional-looking handbag or tote in a neutral color to carry any necessary documents.

2 - Relaxed blazer outfit:
Start with a pair of black or navy dress pants that fit well and flatter your hourglass figure.
Choose a blouse or top with a V-neckline that complements your figure.
Layer a relaxed-fit blazer in a neutral color, such as beige or light gray, over the top.
Choose a pair of comfortable and stylish ankle boots or loafers for the shoes.
Accessorize with a simple pendant necklace or bracelet, and a neutral-toned shoulder bag.
Either of these outfits can work well for both the work event and the job interview, depending on your personal preference and the level of formality expected at the event. Be sure to iron or steam your clothes beforehand and take the time to groom yourself well, including your hair and makeup. Good luck with your job interview and enjoy meeting your team in person again!

Im a stay at home Mum, often seen trudging round the park, woods, supermarket. Standard winter uniform is skinnies, thermals, jumper, warm coat, boots, sometimes hat, big leather Mum bag full of Mum stuff. I basically just dress to be less freezing. I don't wear accessories or jewellery. How can I injext a bit of style without reducing protection against the freezing cold?

Thanks OP. Out of interest, why do you refer to it as a closet? Where are you based?

Sorry, English isn't my first language and I learned American English back in school school. Moved to the UK a few years back but clearly still haven't picked up British terminologies xx

Experiment with different textures: Adding layers of different textures like a chunky knit scarf or a faux fur vest can add some visual interest to your outfit.

Opt for statement coats: Choose a coat in a bold color or with interesting details like faux fur trim or oversized buttons. A statement coat can elevate your entire outfit while still keeping you warm.

Play with patterns: Incorporate some patterned pieces like plaid or striped scarves or a printed beanie. These can add some personality to your outfit without compromising on warmth.

Add some sparkle: Add a touch of sparkle with a beanie or gloves that have a bit of glitter or metallic thread.

Don't forget about footwear: Invest in a pair of stylish and comfortable boots like combat boots, Chelsea boots, or ankle boots with a trendy twist, like studs or buckles.

Accessorize with a statement bag: Consider swapping your basic leather mom bag for a stylish tote or cross-body bag with fun details or a bright pop of color.
