I finally have one! Tom Hanks. I've always been a massive fan anyway I just think he's amazing as a person and as an actor but lately I find him really handsome even though it's never crossed my mind before. My tastes are changing as I age I suppose (38). He's getting on a little bit now but I still think he's lovely, more so thinking of Green Mile / Saving Private Ryan era. It's the lopsided smile... it just grabs me 😍

So come on I'm curious. Who's yours?

It's more characters actors have played:
Robert Carlyle in The Full Monty
Robbie Coltrane as Cracker
John C. McGinley as Dr Cox in Scrubs
and the weirdest....
Robin Hood, as in the Disney version (I genuinely have no answer to this one, and agree that I may need help)

Taron Egerton?

Luke Evans is a loss to the heterosexual women of this world.

I just can't unsee him as Gaston

Lodgeornot · 05/03/2023 23:12

Sandi toksvig. I knew I loved her before I knew what a lesbian was or that I could be one. I just knew I needed to pull a sicky so I could stay off school and watch call my bluff.

David Cameron?? Noooo. Saw someone here once compare him to the fat controller from Thomas the tank engine and now that’s all I see!!

@ouchmyteeth Yeah that's what I thought too. Blake Lively definitely towered above him.

Ray Manzarek
Rik Mayall
Lena Olin
Charlie Higson
Lindsey Buckingham

cornflakegeneration · 05/03/2023 23:17

I used to fancy Robert Lindsay when he was in My Family

Rinkydinkydoodle · 05/03/2023 23:52

Kim Bodnia from Killing Eve could get it any day. Loved Paul Ritter also, very sad he’s gone, so charismatic. Even fancied him as Martin Goodman, chest-sauce and all😍

I've got things for Larry Lamb, Jim Norton (Bishop Brennan in Father Ted) but mostly his voice and more recently the Greek actor that plays Vasos in Stath Let's Flats. And Tom Hanks, obvs.

wearethepigs1 · 05/03/2023 23:55

Can't get over the crushing on David Cameron. A naan bread with a face painted on.

Wynne Evans. He is just everything I want in a man. He's gorgeous, talented, very funny, caring and a man of the people. He's a beautiful human being.

Oh yes! I regularly listen to his radio show - I'm not Welsh nor do I live in Wales.

Rinkydinkydoodle · 05/03/2023 23:59

@AffIt

didn’t think of Mads for this thread because he’s clearly the most beautiful man ever to have lived. Have you seen his dancing at the end of Another Round? I took a ridder in the cinema, think it was spontaneous ovulation

Michael Kitchen

Obviously Tom Burke and Rufus Sewell are very attractive but Oh my days Michael Kitchen is less obvious but for some reason very attractive.

With you on Michael Kitchen.

Swingoutsistersledge2 · 06/03/2023 00:03

Richard E Grant fell in love when I watched Jack & Sarah .

I'm old enough to have fancied him in Citizen Smith in the 70s 😆

Anyone mentioned fanny gallops yet?

Stellan Skarsgård in River.
Bob Peck in Edge of Darkness
Edward Petherbridge as Lord Peter Wimsey

Some of the pp are obvious dishes but...David Cameron? Didn't someone say he looked like a freshly wanked cock?

cassiatwenty · 06/03/2023 00:20

Sean Bean dies a lot. Part of his charm is his resilience.

Prefer him to Liam Neeson who is somehow in almost every action film out there

LibertyLily · 06/03/2023 00:29

Maverickess · 05/03/2023 21:03

Laurence Fox.

Well actually not Laurence Fox but Dt Sgt James Hathaway to be precise.

Me too ❤ Also Mackenzie Crook and - even more absurdly - Frank Skinner!

BasiliskStare · 06/03/2023 00:32

@Whyishewearingasombero Thisr you - there are similar and indeed better ones but this is the one I found

BasiliskStare · 06/03/2023 00:33

I meant This for you @Whyishewearingasombero rubbish typing

RicherThanYews · 06/03/2023 00:34

Not unconventional but probably unusual for a 30 year old woman, I love Sam Elliot and Clint Eastwood. Ooh and Steve Buscemi.
