My soon to be 8yo needs a new scooter. He cycles a lot and is very good on all sorts of terrain, jumps and pump tracks. But round here most kids scoot more and I thought it would be handy for him to have a scooter as well for joining in and day trips/holidays as it fits I the car easier. His old scooter is far too small and also a bit crap and rattly.
I've been thinking of getting him a dirt scooter because there are lots of bumpy/stony paths round here and places to go off road but I'm not sure if it would be a good choice for every day scooting as well. Maybe I should just get him a jd bug or razor and then he can scoot about with his friends and use his bike off road (which he prefers anyway).
Anyone got any advice oh wise mumsnetters?
