re Wordlebot. We know that not all 5 letter words can be a wordle solution but it will accept those words as valid guesses. IE no plurals ending in s, so you can guess TRAYS but it's not on their list of Solution words. Also I think they have taken really obscure 5 letter words off their solution list, plus no offensive words.
But recently we have had WORSE and HORSE as solutions. Both of these had loads of us guessing wrongly -ORSE several times before we got it right.
The first time I looked at Wrodlebot was after I had solved HORSE. ( I don't think you can look at WB comments before you finish the puzzle)
My penultimate guess was ROUSE. WB said after that guess there were only two possible answers left, and actually listed them as horse and worse. but didn't offer gorse as a possibility - and i hadn't used a G earlier. Google tells me that gorse is a European shrub
So the Wordle dictionary is even more USA- centric than merely spelling humour without the U...
And why NORSE wasn't an option, no idea
