Cushions, rugs, lamps, curtains?

It's Valspar Dragon Song.

Not cream as I have dogs!

I have a similar colour with a deep plum/aubergine sofa, looks great

I agree with this.

Belindabelle · 03/03/2023 12:59

A deep claret red.

cathyandclare · 03/03/2023 13:05

We have dark green, gold and aubergine in our room that colour

Beebumble2 · 03/03/2023 13:07

That’s a lovely colour. If you enlarge the photo, you can just see the edge of a cushion that’s orange / terracotta/ cream. Like others have said, those colours would look good. Have you anythings that are those shades? You could drape them on your sofa to see what looks best.

TenoringBehind · 03/03/2023 13:10

I have similar colour. Orange or mustard work well.

I'm thinking orange, mustard and cream (items away from the sofa and out of dog reach)

I’d go with all the jungle/rainforest colours - if your sofa is plain tan, then lots of different textures and patterns. And I would have a few big cushions rather than lots of small ones.

ÉireannachÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉÉ · 03/03/2023 13:15

A deep dark blue

LetThemEatTurnips · 03/03/2023 13:16

Orange or a bright peacock/turquoise.

GreyIvy · 03/03/2023 13:18

Hmmm, I think this is a more difficult quest then you may think. As a poster upthread said, really take note of the colour of your sofa. for example, I painted a feature wall a lovely dark teal (now gone!) And threw mustard cushions on the charcoal grey sofa, thinking that would make a lovely combo - wrong! it all looked way too dark. My advice would be go lighter on the cushions - texture and patterns are your friends here, to add interest without sucking the light out of the room.

YellowAndGreenToBeSeen · 03/03/2023 13:19

I have walls like this and a deep green velvet sofa too. My cushions are gold, orange and cream. Throws are orange with a tint of green (a TK Maxx lucky find!). None of the cushions match and all either silk or velvet.

tara66 · 03/03/2023 13:19

Unless it gets a lot of sun - you would normally need the warm colours - yellow, orange or red - or tones thereof.

VoluptuaSneezelips · 03/03/2023 13:23

Turquoise shades, olive green shades, rusty orange shades, gold or champagne shades, cream shades. Think all could look good in the right combo with that paint. Maybe take a look on a colour palette website where you can make your own palettes and compare them.

Stickytreacle · 03/03/2023 13:29

'Jewel' type colours would go well, so rich rusts, purples, golds and burgundy reds.

mondaytosunday · 03/03/2023 13:49

Mustard would go well. Tempted to throw in a splash of fuchsia too.

user50and · 03/03/2023 13:51

Dusky pink or navy

bellsbuss · 03/03/2023 13:52

Good or bronze

bellsbuss · 03/03/2023 13:52

Gold not good

Floralnomad · 03/03/2023 13:55

Orange and or mustard , although I have to confess that my go to is mustard .

Schoolprotest · 03/03/2023 13:55
