What time does your KS1 child go to bed?

Dd seems to need sooooo much sleep. If I let her have a late night (which is only 8:30!) she’s zonked the next day.

Just finished bedtime and within 5 mins she has conked out. She’ll wake around 6:30/7ish tomorrow.

Is that normal?!

I have 7 year old in Year 2 and a 2.5 year old... they go up at 6.30pm, lights out at 7pm and asleep not much after usually.... 2.5 year old still having a 2 hour nap in the day too.

Oh and generally have to drag the 7 year old out of bed at 7.30am, 2.5 year old is usually up by 7am. Except on the weekend when they're both up at the arse crack of dawn... because its the weekend! :p

4yo & 7yo both in bed between 7.30 and 8 at night and up around 7.30 the next morning. Both will sleep later at weekends but can also cope with the odd later night if needed. 4yo will nap with me or DP in the day if they've had a late night, 7yo won't.

My year 1 goes to bed at 7/half 7, we do stories then lights out, younger two are asleep in minutes but my 5 year old is rarely asleep before 9. I leave an audio book on for him and he just lies and listens to it. Would sleep til 8 naturally, but woken at 7.30 for school.

Between 8.30 and 9 and then up between 7.30 and 8. Child is a night owl. Would love her to go a bit earlier to get some more evening time. Annoying thing is my younger one is a lark- not sure that she’ll ever change. She’ll come into our room bright and breezy at 6.30 delighted that it’s morning but is very crabby at night. The older one walks around like a zombie for at least half hour and is generally mardy in the mornings.

My 6yo & 8yo both have lights out at 8pm & I wake them up at 7.30am if they aren't awake already. The 8yo has always needed more sleep than the 6yo in general.

Bunnycat101 Mine are the same, DS1 is a night owl and DS2 is up and ready for breakfast at 6am.

Wait till they're teenagers and you're in bed before then! It's a whole new set of worries!! Px
