Hi
My 8 year old DD has brownish discolouration to her top two adult teeth. I can’t for the life of me remember whether they were always like this or whether it’s gradually appeared. We’ve been to the dentist today and he’s said her teeth are v healthy. I mentioned the discolouration as a few kids at school have made comments and she’s a bit self conscious of late.
The dentist, quite quickly, said ‘it’s a normal variant, some teeth are like this, it’s nothing to do with dental hygiene, it won’t get better with age and she can have them whitened when she’s 18’.
If this is the case, fine. We’ll deal with it. I’ve just got a niggle that I want to be sure this advice is absolutely correct because if there’s anything that can be done (ie a good polish with a hygienist) to reduce the risk of bullying, I’m keen to hear.
Anyone have any experience to share?! TIA
