Can any kind soul help me with parking in Liverpool?

I'm coming to Liverpool tomorrow and very much looking forward to it. However I'm the world's worst navigator and city centre driving really freaks me out. Worrying about where I'll park is a big part of this. Can anyone recommend somewhere to park that's easy to find and will still have spaces at that time? I'll be arriving mid afternoon, and not leaving until 9pm. I'd like to do as little city centre driving as I can get away with, and am quite happy to walk a mile or so if that's less stressful. Cost unimportant - it will be cheaper than the train for DC and me regardless. Thank you!

I was going to say Liverpool One too. It’s easy to get too from the main ring road past the Albert Dock and it’s right in the middle of everything. There’s always spaces too.

It's hard to say, because the waterfront car parks/John Lewis are easiest to find, but they are a very, very long walk (uphill) if you want to go to the Met Cathedral. Get a black cab!
Q Park in Hanover Street would be a bit nearer, but still a hike.
Everywhere is safe, by the way!
There is also on-street parking in Mount Pleasant, but fills up quickly - free after 6pm.
There is a car park just behind Mount Pleasant, on Cathedral Walk - small and cheap, but most people don't know it's there.

Honestly, Liverpool city centre is not huge and traffic always quiet, so you'll be fine. There are numerous car parks all over the city, and all signed.

I was in Liverpool to go to the theatre last night. I usually park in QPark in Liverpool one. It feels very safe in there x

Personally I would park outside of teh centre and train or bus in. Liverpool central is very expensive

Liverpool 1 is my go to parking. Big bays, well lit, clean and the lifts work. Expensive but Queens Square is a similar price for small bays and lifts are hit and miss. On road parking around the Anglican Cathedral not always possible and machines normally out of use so you need the app. King's/ Albert Dock also pricy and a trek into town especially the theatres.

Thanks again for the tips - kept in the right hand lane along the waterfront and sailed down into Liverpool one. So easy I'll do it more often!

I usually park at the Anglican cathedral. Open 24/7 Or at the Metropolitan cathedral. But they do close around 6pm I think. (But you will come back to a lovely warm car. As the car park is warmer than the cathedral upstairs) both cheap and way to find. And both cathedrals well worth a look round if you have time.
