A bit of fun...

For me -

  • July - I love summer
  • June - I love summer
  • September - the weather is still nice but places are quieter as you beat the school holiday rush
  • May - spring is in swing and summer is in sight. Plus bank holidays
  • August - a summer month but can be rainy and disappointing. Plus everywhere is busy
  • April - spring is here and Easter bank holidays
  • October - I like autumn colour and autumn traditions. Weather is still fairly mild
  • December - while cold, the Christmas festivities are fun and brighten it up
  • March - while it's still cold, it feels like we are nearly at the end of winter. Lots of spring signs
  • February - cold but the days are noticeably longer at least
  • November - dark and cold, but at least there's Christmas to look forward to
  • January - a month we are all cold, broke, tired, and it's dark with no Christmas lights to brighten up the nights. Plus, it feels like it lasts about 90 days.

December- Christmas
July- Summer, time outside in good weather, long days
June- as above but not as hot
November- Start looking forward to Christmas. Fireworks.
May- longer days, better weather, summer is coming!
October- nearly at November/ December. Kids excited for Halloween, time off with kids at half term
September- still warm, but summer is over and Christmas is a way off
April- starting to get lighter and warmer but not enough yet and still pretty wet
March- as above but colder and wetter. Flowers are opening though, which is a good sign.
February- Skint, cold, wet, dark. Not much to look forward to for a few months.
January- as above but more so.

January-Quite a miserable month with Christmas over. Feels never ending. Only good thing is the cosy nights.
February- Few birthdays in the family, spring is on it's way, nice and short month.
March- One of my least favourites. Nothing really happens and seems very long.
April- One of my favourites. Love Easter time and the long bank holiday.
May- An OK month. Mainly because of the bank holidays.
June- Another of my least favourites. Start of summer which I hate and again, not much going on.
July- Same as June. Full on summer which I hate.
August- Not too bad as nearly end of summer and a bank holiday thrown in.
September- One of my favourites. Nights are drawing in again. Autumn on the way.
October- Another favourite as it's Autumm although I hate the Halloween hype.
November- Not a favourite as too many sad things have happened in my life over this month.
December- My favourite. Love the Christmas run down, time off work and the cosiness of it all.

ThreeRingCircus · 21/02/2023 18:29

May - Spring is in full swing, two bank holiday weekends and the whole of Summer still stretching ahead.

June - Weather usually nice but not too hot, lots of time sitting outside in the garden which is looking at its best.

December - Christmas, twinkly lights, time off work with the family, curling up in front of the fire, all of the other cosy/hygge things.

April - Easter holidays, lambs in the fields, as in May the whole Summer is ahead of us.

July - Summer holidays, DDs playing in the paddling pool, stretching out on a sun lounger in the garden with a book, BBQs.

November - lots of birthdays in our family, bonfire night and starting to plan for Christmas.

August - bank holiday weekend but everywhere is busy and the weather is disappointing

March - desperate for Spring to really start but it can still be cold when I just want to start sowing seeds in the greenhouse

October - I like Halloween but that's about it.

September - children back to school, Summer is ending and it's a long time until next Summer.

February - cold, often wet and just waiting for Spring

January - as above with February with the addition on feeling skint after Christmas and early December payday

Vicliz24 · 21/02/2023 18:39

May - looking forward to summer
June - summer
July - best temperature of the year
April - spring
January- Christmas is over
February- January is over
March - spring is coming
September- still warm
August- sad summer is going
October- apart from the autumn colours nothing
December- I do like Christmas lights
November- absolutely vile weather and the Christmas chaos begins

housemaus · 21/02/2023 18:46

Best: September. Start of autumn, trees turning, still warmish and sunnyish

Good: April & May (springy niceness), October (I love Halloween and it getting dark - at first)

Don't care: June, July, November, March, December

Bad: February (only saving grace is it's length), August (too hot, hate hot weather)

Worst: January - dark, cold, poor, long.

garlicandsapphires · 21/02/2023 19:09

Best: May and October are by far the best months of all.
I really like January as it's slow, quiet, fresh and new. Plus hyacinths.
Worst: March
July and August can be very disappointing

October: It’s my birthday month and I love Halloween more than all other celebrations combined! I love the colours and starting to feel that chill in the air.

December: Seeing the kids excitement at Christmas is wonderful. Sighing when one of them changes there Santa list at 5pm Christmas Eve 🤣

April: I’m ready for Spring by now. I live next to a field full of sheep and I love seeing the lambs slowly appear.

May: It’s my daughters birthday month and she’s the only one of my children who didn’t get lumped with a January birthday.

November: Feels like a filler month but I do love seeing dd excited about the fireworks. She’s severely autistic and non verbal so I expected her to hate them but to my surprise, watching fireworks is the happiest I’ve ever seen her!

September: I still get that back to school excitement and feeling of hope that a new school year brings even if I left school over a decade ago.

March: Starting to see the first of the spring flowers is lovely.

January: I don’t love it as a month but two of my children’s birthdays are at the end of the
month and that makes it more bearable.

February: Not keen. Valentine’s Day has always felt upsetting to me.

August: I despise the summer but at least in August I can tell myself it’s nearly over.

June: Hate the beginning of the summer but at least it hasn’t become properly hot yet.

July: I hate it! I spend the month counting down the days until it’s over for another year.

maddiemookins16mum · 21/02/2023 19:38
