"No spend" month or "low spend"

Has anyone done this or is doing this?

I haven't before but thinking of trying not to do any unnecessary spending once I get my March pay.

I will do food shopping and buy nappies for LO things like detergent if we need it. i allow myself a meal deal lunch twice a week (I only go into the office twice a week) or may just allow myself a discretionary £100 for the month and pay for lunches out of that along with taking the LO out.

I don't know. I've never done it but will be interesting to see how it work and then maybe do it again.

Thinking about it I also need a dress for a wedding I'm going to next month but maybe there is something I can make do with!

Every single month. But out of necessity as we are broke.

It’s miserable. Don’t make yourself miserable if you don’t need to.

sorry if my post sounded today or like I don't need to watch what I spend.

I do need to spend less and save more money but I do just buy things here and then like clothes or books for DC or more expensive lunches than necessary. I either need to spend nothing that's not necessary or set myself a very strict budget!

I definitely need to cut back.

I did a couple of years ago when I git myself into a real pickle by spending too much in the summer hols. It made a huge difference, I don't spend on big things but it's easy to fritter little bits away and they all add up. I'm going to try it again.

I have a well stocked pantry so managed to spend about £100 on food fir the month, we had sone odd meals but it was fine.

I try to do it most months tbh

I really need to cut back on fripperies (even books for kids, as we could instead build a once week library haul into our week). What I really need to do is focus on putting something into a pension but it's so hard when paying high nursery fees too.
