Has anyone bought anything off vinted?

I've just discovered vinted and I'm obsessed
I got a Zara blazer new with tags for £7 (£10 with postage ) which was originally £59.99
I wanted it last year but couldn't justify the price
Another new look blazer £6 (£9 postage ) which had tags on.
I've just found a nice Zara shirt for £7 this morning
So many bargains
My friend says she would rather do without than buy second hand but I think it's great.
I would only buy new with /without tags and possibly very good (if worn once etc )
Anyone found any good bargains ?

How are you all managing these bargains?! Everything I see is almost full price

cravingtoblerone · 18/02/2023 09:55

I love Vinted and shop there all the time.

My best buys were practically new Boden jeans for £6. Boden tailored work trousers for £7, M&S trainers (new with tags) for £15 and a navy Monsoon maxi dress for a fiver.

Had a few misses - stuff that doesn't fit/suit when you try it on but I've always managed to successfully reVint for the purchase price.

Kids clothes are way cheaper than adults I find.

I sell More than I but Yes it brilliant. I have lots of thing I've bought but then don't love them so worn one can many others do to!

I bought some F & F contour jeans that are now £29 in Tesco for £4 plus p and p.

You just have to be a bit savvy I check the seller and what they are selling and if it all looks good and clean the chances are your item
Will be too.

It's great to find something you passed on in vinted. I don't spend spend more than £5 and accept if it doesn't fit I'll re sell it

Kids clothes have a very short life span so there are loads on there as kids grow bu

Maternity stuff is good too usually as that has a limited life span

I love Vinted and have had to now ban myself from it for a while apart from selling as I was getting obsessed. I like the way it's just normal people who are selling their stuff, all very honest I've found, and very keen to help. I love second hand stuff and always have! I can never understand people who don't want to wear things that aren't brand new out of the shop. Would they not wear something a friend had given them that they had only worn once? It's the same thing, in my head.

I absolutely love it My best bargain to date is a black Thermo warmth puffer jacket BNWT for £8
It's a dead ringer for my DS's NF one! Worn lots in the really cold spell recently

ThreeRingCircus · 18/02/2023 16:48

I absolutely love Vinted. Some things are hit and miss in terms of whether they suit me but the vast majority of stuff I've bought has been great and I've had some real bargains. Probably 80% of clothes I buy for me or for DDs is from there now.

I don't get why people look down their noses at second hand clothing. It's vastly cheaper and better for the environment. I wash everything I buy before I wear it and then I'm good to go!

Bloody love Vinted, get all our clothes from there. I don't think I've bought anything 'new' for about two years, we save so much money.

Big convert here. I sold a load of really nice things that I just wasn't wearing, and have bought loads. A few issues - things do take several days/a week to arrive; and not everything has suited me. But given how easy it is to buy and to sell, it's ace. My best bargains - Jaeger trousers and dresses. Bargain.

Word of caution about designer items on Vinted. I used to do some light authentication work for another marketplace on one brand and I can tell you Vinted is riddled with scam sellers.
The photos are often genuine but lifted from other sites. You’ll see the item is listed in a weird category like “running buggies” to avoid fraud detection.
And the price will be too good to be true, listed by a seller with zero feedback. I report when I spot them but they come straight back.
I’m looking at trainers right now and there are loads of dodgy listings. I have no idea what happens if you buy, maybe they send a fake.
Buyer beware.

Yes ... I got invited to a wedding and needed a dress (I'm not a dress sort of girl!!) and got one off there for £10.00. Very happy. Would use again. My friend buys all her jeans off Vinted and another friend regularly sells stuff on there. All good.
