How many hours of exercise do you do each week?

I'm starting to think I need to get myself into shape, but I can't work out if it will be enough. How much do you do per week?

Here's my plan :

Monday - 1 hour Pilates 1 hour swim
Tuesday - 1 hour gym (cycling, cross trainer, rowing)
Wednesday - 1 hour swim
Thursday - 1 hour gym (as above) or swim
Friday - 1 hour pilates

Is that enough to get me feeling physically fit? It's only 6 hours, which doesn't seem like a lot.

@iknowwheretheothersockgoes I'm 50 and started weight training at 37. I work out in a body building gym and had a coach train me in technique so now I'm good to go.

I do all the compound lifts with lots of isolation work. I used to supplement this with running but broke my leg so now do much less cardio except for walking and some treadmill sprints to get my heart rate up.

Gym 3 mornings a week about 1 hour 20 exercise HIIT, tomorrow I will leave the house before seven, get to gym at seven, shower there and straight to work for around 9am I will work until 9pm (dh's day off).
Weds DH starts at 9:30 on a as he works a 12 hour shift, my mum or MIL arrives around 9am to look after DS, they take him to his swimming lesson so DH will make sure he gets himself into his swimwear while I early gym again, I finish work at 5:30pm. Tuesday and Thursday DS is at nursery any time after 8 but we generally drop off just before nine, but it's a bigger ask to get him there and DH works in court on Tuesdays and has to be there before nine, so I do drop off and don't do morning gym on those days.
Fridays DS is only at nursery 9-3 and I am off, I drop him off go to the gym, go to Tesco to get my click and collect, go home and do the housework.
DH does most of the laundry , bins, washing up, gardening and half of day to day top up cleaning. He also has DS all day on his weekday off, whereas he's in nursery for mine. So it's a fair split.
I walk to and from work twice a week just under 4 mile round trip. We are quite active at weekends long walks on the beach, went swimming as a family this morning etc, I think a generally active lifestyle is easier to sustain, so if I have to miss the gym one day I don't worry too much. Even soft play I could let DS go in on his own, I spent 40 minutes yesterday chasing him playing tag through a huge soft play, my fitbit tells me this kept my heart rate up, which is better than sitting on the sofa.
DH cycles, has a geeky hobby two evenings a month and paints. He is thinking of joining the gym/swimming which is fine as he prefers to go in the evenings and he won't go more than twice a week. DS is in bed by seven so evenings aren't an issue for either of us.
I've lost the best part of 4 stone like this. Weight I mainly gained having a baby and then lock down, and getting into really bad habits around being inactive.

It's the same on any high earner threads. Posters can't believe that everyone isn't earning the national average wage.
I'm sure there are a small number of people that bullshit but who really cares

The financial threads are the worst for the fibbers, I've found.

How do you know they are fibbing though?
