Best way to sell women's clothes without waiting for months for it to shift on Vinted?

I miss eBay action style listings so much. I've had (nice, good quality, decent branded) clothes listed since the summer. Some has sold well but it takes a while and now because the listings aren't new I'm seeing less engagement.

I want it all gone, now, but not for 50p car boot sale prices if I can help it. Are there any other options I can sell things where there is a fixed timeline and then it's gone?

TIA!

You can list as auctions still on eBay or relist on Vinted. Specific brands such as joules have facebook selling groups

Delete the listings and then relist it bump them back up for free.

I find things have to be priced pretty low to sell. For cheaper brands like H&M, M&S, Primark, etc, I find it's not even worth the hassle cos you need to price it so low. But I've had great success with more expensive brands like Boden, Whistles, Reiss, etc.

I would delete all your Vinted listing and relist at prices that are a bit lower than whatever you have them on for currently. If your photos are good and items are reasonably in demand but they're not selling on Vinted it's probably that your prices are too high (unless you know you could get more on ebay in which case use ebay?).

I'm giving up on vinted. I have lots of decent, well photographed items for £1 that have been there since summer. It'll be going to the charity shop soon.

plumduck · 17/02/2023 18:36

Delete on ebay and relist. Take good photos. Hit the right time of year to wear the item you're selling.

Firstly, you need to accept that second hand clothes are worth what someone is prepared to pay for them, not what the seller thinks they should be worth. Delete the old listings of the stuff that hasn’t sold and re-list at a lower price. If they still don’t shift, they need to be donated.

ChilliBandit · 17/02/2023 18:41

What brands are you trying to sell and at what price? I find if it’s a good brand and well priced on Vinted it sells quickly. I don’t bother trying to sell supermarket brands on, just straight to charity if in good condition or I ask if the charity wants the bad stuff for rags. I do find some Vinted sellers have unrealistic expectations.

My prices are generally cheap as chips, just not dirt cheap like a car boot sale so generally between £2-5.

Brands like topshop, urban outfitters ASOS and river island on the £2 side and brands like ted baker, Jack wills and French Connection closer to £5.

I generally don't bother listing the super cheap stuff eg. Primark, H&M, new look etc.

May try an eBay auction and see if I get anywhere!

Thanks everyone.

Your prices and brands sound good. If you felt comfortable posting your vinted name maybe we could offer better advice? Or if not maybe PM it to me if any of your clothes would fit a 12 😀

Sorry, everything is a 6-8 as I'm a midget 😅

Maybe they're not selling so well because there's less of a market for size 6/8 clothes
