Overactive bladder - Solifenacin Succinate

I’ve recently been prescribed this for an overactive bladder.

Has anyone got any experience of taking this please?

The list of side effects freaked me out a bit to be honest (I have health anxiety) so I’m wondering if it’s worth the risk?
Maybe I’d be better off putting up with my current symptoms (which are mainly needing to pee a lot and particularly at night which makes me very tired the following day).

I know all medication has side effects and not everyone gets them, I’m just looking for any experiences?

Dd takes it here too. Slight dry mouth was the only side effect.

DD1 (10 years old) takes it with no side effects.

My DD has been on it for a few years. She would get a bit dehydrated at times. Is now on Mirabegron too now

I'm mindful of posting this given you have health anxietyalready, DS took it and suffered a terrible increase in his anxiety while on it. This whole range of drugs (Oxybutynin, Tolterodine etc) can trigger anxiety so we weren't surprised - he'd had similar issues on Oxybutynin in the past. Solifenacin is metabolised differently I think, so we had hoped it might not trigger it in the same way but it was off the charts. We eventually went back to Tolterodine which was the best compromise for him, no anxiety but not quite as effective as we'd like.

I should add that he was 9/10 at the time so not an adult and side effects may be very different in kids.
