How can I help this heal - little boys face

Any suggestions for my poor little boys face? He went head over heels on the pavement yesterday morning and has scraped his forehead and nose. Took him to minor injuries because there was a lot of blood and he bumped his head, they said just use a bit of savlon and leave be, which I've done.

Trouble is, he is very self conscious about it. We're going to soft play tomorrow and at bedtime he said he didn't want to go any more because other children might run away because he looks scary. Broke my heart.

So, anything I can apply to help it heal quicker?

Thanks all - he really is cute inside and out.

He loves the idea of making up stories about how it happened. So far we've had fighting alligators, running away from raptors and falling out of a tree!

That will be healed in a week, looks nasty now but they heal much faster than us!

Sudacrem works wonders on this type of injury. As it scabs it will naturally tighten, the sudacrem keeps it from pulling. Also stops infection (which I'd be concerned about with soft play).

Hi there, I was just wondering how well did your little boy heal, and what did you do to help the healing process? My little girl has just done something similar and just wanting to do all that I can to prevent a scar.
