Pillow help needed!

I have a sore neck and back but the pillow I use definitely contributes. I've bought loads and I can't get it right. Tried the rock hard memory foam ones and hate them. I thought I had the found the perfect one from Dunnes but after 6 weeks it's too flat and my sore neck is back. Not very economical to buy a new pillow every few weeks, so any suggestions?
I was thinking of trying the Emma pillow, or a wool one? I just don't want to keep buying the wrong ones!

I love my down pillows. We've also got through loads of inferior pillows over the years and down are the only ones we both agree on and which have stood the test of time.

I ordered a buckwheat pillow! The reviews were so good and I'm thinking I can take some out if there's too much and you can order more of it goes flat. I hope its not like sleeping on a sack of rice though!
I'll report back incase I have found the holy grail of pillows.

Where is the best place to buy buckwheat pillows?

Rololol · 15/02/2023 10:16

I bought mine on Amazon, no idea of it will be any good though. Reviews looked good

Aside from the pillow is your mattress the right tension for your body weight, and a decent one? I was sleeping on a too firm mattress for years and when I changed it my aches went away almost straight away. If the mattress is wrong it won’t matter what pillow you choose.

I’m finding this. I have two mattress toppers and it’s still too hard!!

@TiredyMcTired no I couldn't get on with the buckwheat pillow, it felt like I was sleeping on a sandbag! I was so disappointed, I thought it was the answer. It says to persevere for a week but i had a really sore neck so didn't continue

I can so identify with this OP - must have tried over 30 pillows over the years! Another vote for the Dorma dream pillow though. It’s wonderful! Really helped my neck.
I now want to buy a single cooling gel mattress topper as my lower back can be terrible plus I’m menopausal so very hot in bed as it were! DH doesn’t want a topper, hence the single one. Hope you get sorted!

I had a similar thread a month or so ago.

The suggestion was Premier Inn at Home ones.

They are fantastic!
