Protein, I guess, but is there anything else that helps? Very tiny appetite, so can only try a little bit of a few things, and I want it to be the right things!

Take an extra multivit to cover the bases.

Vegetables and fruits are full of vitamins and minerals that help the body function and heal.

Vit E

A skin hair and nails supplement would probably be of more use - and use bio oil

I think I read zinc is helpful for healing after I had a c-section, but quite difficult to find in foods. I THINK it mentioned lamb and Brazil nuts were a good source.

any sort of supplement is out, as I am on so much medication already, and there could be interactions, I have just been told to eat what I can, but at the moment, I am struggling!

Thanks for your inputs, a few things here worth a try, I actually quite fancy kale and spinach, now its been mentioned! surprisingly enough, and a bit of minced lamb sounds quite good to me too!

with the things your craving your iron levels could be low which can be common after surgery (blood loss) I would focus on iron rich foods. Meats, spinach, broccoli and add in beans / pulses

Others have the food covered so just wanted to suggest silicone plasters. Check with your doctor/nurse to make sure the wounds have healed enough for them but I saw a massive difference very quickly when I had hand surgery. The red/raised/angriness of the scar settled down within a couple of days.

You can put Vitamin E oil directly onto
the skin once the scar has sealed (not before) it needs to be good quality, can either buy it as oil or get good capsules and prick them.

I honestly doubt collagen, which is the main supplement for skin, would have any medicine contraindications. Far easier to take than try to get from foods especially if you have a limited appetite.
