Made a stupid mistake on 3 (that's the same letter in yellow as on 2), but in a way, it was okay as it eliminated some others.

Agree with it being a sneaky word. Took me a few minutes to see it.

Though there is something pleasing about '606 6/6'.

Be interesting to know our techniques. I use the same first word every time which has all but 1 of the vowels in it . If that fails, I use a second word which has the other vowel in it, and by then I've used a few other letters which are in or out.Then I start trying to guess words if I can. If I only have 1 or 2 vowels and no letters confirmed, I try to include letters that go together eg ch, qu, to see what that produces. I've been lucky the last couple of days with my first two words producing enough clues.

I tried using ‘adieu’ as a starter for a while but it wasn’t very satisfactory. I use a starter with two vowels and three consonants. Consonants narrow the options better than vowels and are more of a prompt to the brain to think of words.
I think using a second starter word that doesn’t incorporate the green or yellow letters from row one is often a good tactic, but it is difficult to think of all the options and pick the most appropriate second word.
