A day on my own in London

What would you do if you had the day in London. DH is going too but we are going to do our own thing and meet for lunch.

I love the architecture and secret hidden stuff. Any suggestions?

(I’ve booked tickets for the Mithraeum)

At the moment I'd go for the Egyptian exhibition at the British Museum, possibly popping into the Foundling Museum at King's Cross, and the Wellcome Exhibition at Euston - easy walking distance from each other.

Then possibly go to Oxford Street for window shopping at Selfridges and end up at their roof garden. Maybe dinner at the creperie (can't remember the name) on St Christophers Place afterwards.

I'd go get myself lost in the Barbican.
