What's your perfect (realistic) Sunday?

Mine's really simple. A nice lie in bed, everyone wakes up and gets ready at their own pace. Then out for a Sunday roast or I cook one. Family walk with the dog in the forest then home for an apple crumble in front of the TV. Family film or episode of whatever series we're watching then everyone does there own thing. Nice bath and book.

Lie in (8/9am)
Coffee and a pastry
Long walk, ending at a pub for a roast and wine
Home to a hot bath
TV snuggled on the sofa
Bed
And most importantly - no work the next day!

Currently on mat leave so don't have to worry about work, but 9mo means the rest of the day is wishful thinking. About to purchase a back carrier though so looking forward to some good walks in the spring!

If I had the day entirely to myself:

Lie in
Brunch at my favourite café
Go for a wander round the local shops
Go for a massage
Home to put a favourite meal in the slow cooker- pick up favourite snacks and drink on the way!
Potter about at home reading or playing video games and eating snacks
Have a long hot bath whilst listening to a podcast
Get the fire on and watch a movie on the projector while I have dinner

I now usually spend Sundays alone - love it.

Winter Sundays include a bit of tidying up in the garden if it is dry, reading, bacon sandwich or poached eggs on toast at about 11:30. Yoga and a swim in the afternoon with a friend. Home to cook something nice before I set up a few things for work and watch TV for an hour or two, glass of wine before an early night.

Awake by 8 (no hangover please)
Cold water swim
Brew and cake (coffee cake please )
Lunch out with glass of wine
Dog walk with my children not having to. E forced along, ddog behaves and does not react to any other dogs (now this is unlikely hence my ideal scenario erases his past traumas )
Snooze/ lie down with my book
Cheese and biscuits
Dog cuddle
Wine
Bed

I have managed dog walk with some lunging/ barking but only at one other dog in my real life Sunday. The rest, not so much

Mine would be exactly the same except I’d include breakfast in bed, the Sunday Times, log burner and a glass of wine!

We go out somewhere beautiful, a river, or moorland fairly early. Then home for a takeaway, maybe with some family members, and a couple of drinks, then a bit of tv. Essential is no work the following day, so we don’t have to do any work on Sunday.

Church in the morning with good hymns, short interesting sermon, nice chats afterwards then home for roast chicken dinner cooked on the oven timer while we are out. Apple crumble for pudding. Read/snooze while someone else washes up.

In the afternoon a walk somewhere scenic, a potter in the garden and greenhouse, board game with the kids, pot of tea and home made cake then an evening of fabulous telly.

No work the next day would definitely help.
