Tiny tiny flies in my home

This is driving me mad. Over the last couple of months I see 1 or 2 really tiny flies flying around my living room.
It's usually when I'm sitting on the sofa I suddenly see it flying in Front of my eyes and I bat it away then a few mins later it's back again.

Today it landed on my jumper so flattened it and then I saw another a couple of hours later:

I never see them in my kitchen, always living room and maybe once or twice in bathroom. I think I'm mainly seeing them in the living room as that's where I spend most of my time when home.

I can't seem to find the cause of them. There's no rotting food downstairs and no bad smells either.

Bathroom the same thing.

And there's not loads just 1 or 2 at a time and it's everyday.

Just wondered if anyone else is having the same problem and if it's been sorted?
Or does anyone know what they are.

We used "Lava-Lite No Gnats" on all our plants after we got fungus gnats.

You literally just sprinkle it on top of the soil and it gets rid of them completely!

We have had this problem the last few weeks. We only have two tiny plants in the house.

I just googled fungus gnats, though, and the ones here don't look like that.

There are about five types of tiny fly you'll see indoors.
Fungus gnats - small with pointy bum. Thrive in mouldy. Damp conditions, usually on pot plants.
Fruit flies - about the only sort that are attracted to vinegar etc. Small, yellowish bodies with red eyes. These as the name suggest like rotten fruit and veg... usually found around bins or fruit bowls.
Scuttle flies - pretty much exclusively round around enclosures if you keep tarantulas etc... they prefer to walk rather than fly.
Shore fly- black, look like fruit flies, found around green water... I.e. usually outside or in greenhouses where puddles go green.
Drain flies (aka owl flies... many names). Little grey, fluffy looking things. Often found around decomposing matter in drains and sewage.

Yes, definitely fungus gnats. Please don't bin your plants. I got rid of a very bad infestation last year ( I have around 20 plants) what finally did the job: those yellow stickers--- don't put them on the plants, put them on the window (leaning in so they can get glued on both sides) ALSO: buy the "mosquito pond larva killer" (non toxic) put a piece of a tablet in a bottle of water and just leave it there dissolving, then pour some of that water into your watering can along with fresh water. Refill the bottle with water and repeat. This solved my issues after over a year of misery 😅

I cleared my infestation of fungus gnats up with a liberal application of cinnamon to the soil. They never came back.

I haven't watered the plant in about two months. I was wondering why the plant leaves were turning brown and someone said over watering so I've left it alone completely.

Leaves still brown though lol

So the soil should be completely dry after two months so I'm surprised they still thriving
