Some books on midwifery? I'm looking to improve my knowledge on many subjects and find midwifery, pregnancy and childbirth fascinating so plan to start with those!
It's purely for improving my own knowledge, not for a career.
Thanks 😊

I also posted on the book page too but posting here for traffic

I really liked Politics of Breastfeeding.

Mayes Midwifery - this is the classic midwifery textbook.

Spiritual midwifery
Heart and Hands
The Labor progress handbook
Baby Catcher by Peggy Vincent or her new books look like an interesting alternative

Politics of breastfeeding definitely, found it such an eye opener.

There's also a whole series published by Pinter and Martin, Why Xx Matters, that you might find interesting. They're very short but are useful intros to topics around childbirth and child-rearing. Why Home Birth Matters, Why Oxytocin Matters etc

Actually Pinter and Martin publish a lot of books you might like so it's worth having a look through on their website!

Another vote for the Politics of Breastfeeding, also anything by Ina May Gaskin or Sheena Byrom.

Sheila Kitzinger was good on this stuff.
