Has anyone tried this? Apparently you can get it on prescription, patches as well.

I trued it for shingles. Omg it was the worst thing ever. And when I went to shower it off it seemed to reactivate the burning and it was hell on earth. I do know someone else who it worked really well for though, again this was for shingles. Just don't try and remove it with water if you want it off.

Hi. I use Zacin cream and have done for around 3 years. I've used both strengths although i didn't know they now did a patch now. Interesting to know as the cream goes through stages of periodic unavailability.

What I'd say it that it certainly warms the skin and can help with a little pain relief in the short term. I was initially prescribed it for osteoarthritis in my hands. What I found was that even if I washed my hands afterwards, I'd still end up rubbing my eye and feeling the wrath of the chillies!

I've since taken to wearing nitrate gloves and applying it to my knees and feet which I suffer with more than my hands. They say it's not much good for large areas, however I think this is due to the fact that youd go through tons of tubes if you started applying to your whole back for example.

Ouch, bless you! I'm sure it says on the tube not to use on broken or inflamed skin. It's essentially like rubbing raw chillies on your skin. I think it should carry a more prominent warning.

My DH in his late stages of cancer swore by this cream, the hospice at this point had tried just about everything, opiates, relaxers etc etc and nothing was touching the pain. This cream was a god send, immediately gave him relief.

Interesting. Mine is shingles, maybe I'll give it a break for now as it is on the face and quite sensitive!
