Energy bills 4 bed detached

Hi

We are looking to move from our 3 bed terrace to a 4 bed detached house and I’m wondering roughly how much our energy bills will go up by. Obviously use will vary from family to family but would be helpful o get a rough idea from a few people. Thanks!

We have a 4 bed detached, our bills are now £400/month and there are usually only 2 of us here most of the time 😭

What sort of 4 bed detached? Victorian villa with large rooms, high ceilings, poor insulation and single glazed windows or modern box designed to be energy saving?

4 bed detached new build, regular reads, 2021 fixed rate still (until October) actual use December and jan - Gas £67 per month
electric - £75 per month.

wow what a difference a new build makes. we're spending a out 350 pm in a 4 bed 1930s semi detached and we barely have the heating on and use electricity for cooking. about £100pm electric, the rest gas.

We have 4 bed detached - electric is £168 per month fixed until October - we have a reading every month and we are loads in credit . This deal was based on when we were all in during the day due to Covid. Now only probably me in a few days working.

We are off grid so we have oil which varies. ( When we first had oil it was 9p a litre - at some point last year it was £1.25 :-( - has gone down to 70p ish again now.

So I doubt it will be a new build as we want to have good sized room but maybe we should consider them for the energy efficiency 🤔

We are looking at Surrey where I think most houses were built post war but I’m not 100%

5 bed (4 with coverted loft), in the cold north.
Initially had a request for 330/month direct debit, so assume that's around what the previous owners were paying.
Over 6 months, I pulled it down to 220/month, and then moved suppliers in exasperation, and got a 600 rebate in January.

I think it will sit around 200.
