The Greg's one always has loads of stuff, Starbucks one usually decent amount but not always things we liked.
M&S was weird things like crab sticks and a salmon mousse thing & manky salad.
Mot ordered from it in a while.

Ahh I was so excited by this thread I downloaded and bought a M&S bag!

I don’t want no bloody crab sticks 🤦‍♀️ Don’t know if I can be bothered to drive after all that. Might have to cancel.

Just picked up a rubbish one from Morrisons earlier. I’ve logged it. Fruit that you can poke your finger though, bread in ripped open bags. So yeah no more Morrisons for me that’s off my list. I’ll stick to greggs and aldi who again tonight aldi amazing boxes!

The best one near us is Tim Hortons. It's basically a bag of doughnuts so definitely just for occasional treats! You do have to pick up at 10.20pm so it's a late one but teenage DS sometimes goes on his bike.
I had a few disappointing ones from Morrisons and decided unless you are very creative with meals it's more of an add on/source of treats than an actual meal ingredients.

I use TGTG loads and got my first Aldi bag on Tues night. I had a huge family pizza, 2 x packs pork loin steaks, 2 x packs little gem lettuce, pack of mini cucumbers, chill ready meal, pulled pork baguette. Cost me £3.30, I was pleased with that. Our local Boulangerie Jade do fantastic ones for £4.50, usually a selection of 4-5 pastries, 1-2 loaves of fresh bread, sausage rolls and/or filled baguettes. Greggs also usually good value although not the healthiest, same with Krispy Kreme which give you 6 x doughnuts for £3.50. Good for an occasional treat.

I do keep going on the app but there’s no supermarkets on mine, it’s just Starbucks, spar and upper crust… I’ll keep looking in the hope it changes!

Costa bags were £3 on Saturday. No cakes but we’ve eaten sandwiches and toasties all weekend 😂

Waitrose (Shell) tonight - three huge pizzas, two packets of custard slices, pre backed bag of steam garlic butter potatoes, vegetable masala, free range chicken goujons and two aubergine and feta burgers.

Had great ones from Greggs in the past - last time was 3x baguettes, a pack of jam donuts, 3 separate deluxe donuts, a pack of iced donuts and 2 or 3 hot items (was well over the £10 value they reckon) Only problem is I seem to miss them as they release them at all sorts of times during the rush hour/tea time at home so, by the time I get online, they’ve gone. However, after reading this thread earlier, I went on the app this morning and there was 1 left at our local Greggs so I bought it and will collect this afternoon. - will report back!

Other good ones I’ve had have come from a local hamper company and a local deli/farm shop food place in the middle of nowhere. Both had things we wouldn’t consider buying but enjoyed trying. Have kept them for very occasional use as you’d not be able to make a meal out of the contents.

The Spar locally that does them is awful - it’s either barely worth the bag price let alone the perceived ‘full price’ value, or you go to collect and they claim to have cancelled - until you show it still ‘live’ on the app!!

I had a poor bag from Aldi recently. It was all mange tout, and hot dog rolls. There were also a couple of foil containers of loaded fries. Not good.

LovedFedAndNoonesDead · 13/02/2023 16:25

So, we’re back from Greggs and it was a decent bag (made it worth sitting in heavy traffic because of roadworks on the main route into town!). Value between £13.40 and £15.00 (had to guess on a couple of items as they weren’t listed on the app)

2x steak bakes
4x sausage rolls
2x custard slices
2x chocolate coated star biscuits
1x caramel custard donut
1x kids cupcake

DCs will have sausage rolls and star biscuits for tea and DH will enjoy the donut and steak bakes. I’ll keep the custard slices just for me!!

I have never done the supermarket ones, but I have a couple of bakeries near me which I go to regularly.

Last time I went to one I must have had over £20 worth of sandwiches, bread, doughnuts, pastries, and cakes. So much that I had to take a load of them into the office the next day. They're not usually that generous, but I always get my lunch for a couple of days and bread for the week from it. And a few desserts too.

I’ve just given TGTG another chance and got a bag from our local chippy.. 3 half filled boxes of cold chips and 3 tubs of cold mushy peas 😞 I know it was only £3 but still.. it’s so disappointing.
