18th birthday help

My DD is turning 18 in the quite near future and I'm stumped as to a special gift/gifts!

She loves animals but is very less than keen on people 😁
She is studying animal management at college and carries out her college work experience at a local petting zoo.

I've already bought her some jewellery (not expensive but relevant to her and her birthday) but I'm going round in circles looking for anything else!

I've been looking at animal experiences, ideally south of the Midlands but nothing seems 'perfect' right now.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I think Whipsnade looks kind of promising. She's shy and like I said, really isn't a people's person.

Or any other ideas for a people hating girl who isn't into fashion/makeup etc???

Thanks in advance!

I'm getting there @Bloodyhellisthisit but I got distracted yesterday looking into cottage holiday rentals near to West Midlands Safari Park, so that we could coming it with a trip to see my family member up north!
London Zoo is much more 'doable' for us, so that's still a definite contender.
It's all so time consuming!

My 18 yo wanted a bedroom makeover! She picked out new bedding, prints for her walls, new rug and blinds for her windows.

I also got her some jewellery she wanted.

Good Luck - they can be tricky the late teens!

Thanks @Mamafromthebeach. That's a great idea but we transformed her room a couple of years or so ago because she was sick of baby pink! 🙈 I'd like her room now!

We have bought her a necklace and keyring with personalised charms in and some Lush stuff that you can only buy at Christmas but that's it so far!!!

Still looking into an animal experience but didn't get a chance to do any research yesterday. Guess what I'll be doing today!

So I thought I'd settled on the VIP Tour Experience at West Midlands Safari Park and thought we could incorporate it into a week away to do other things/visit a close family member.

They state on the website to contact them via phone/email to check availability.
Have tried to phone but their inbox is full and not taking any more messages!

Have emailed but says the response can take up to 5 days. 😫

Have found a lovely holiday property to rent between there and family member that seems perfect but only have 3 available weeks that we're looking at.

Does anyone know when/how often they run their VIP Tour Experiences, or how on earth I actually speak to a human?!!!!

I'm going slightly crazy here!

Adrenaline junkie? The Bear Grylls adventure thing at the NEC?

A great handbag is always needed.

A pair of sturdy boots or posh but decent wellies for the animal related stuff?

A dry robe?

Coffee machine?

Tech, like a kindle, plug free charger, ear buds?

rainbowstardrops · 17/02/2023 09:35

Great ideas @JuneOsborne. I haven't heard of the Bear Grylls thing.
She could probably do with a new bag too!

Does anyone know about the West Midlands safari park VIP tours?

Hi it’s my dd’s 18th birthday next year and I’m looking for a special restaurant in London for a family dinner , maybe a restaurant that has a private room so as I could decorate it. My dd enjoys steaks and burgers
Any recommendations please

A holiday involving animals eg safari, somewhere cold whale watching etc.
