What makes you truly simply happy?

As I get older I think it becomes increasingly hard to feel pure simple unadulterated joy. I removed vaguely times during childhood where I did have feelings of bliss but the past now is remote.

What makes you simply happy? Is it a relationship or a state of mind for example? Is age a barrier to such feelings freelings?

watching Tv would make me happy if I ever got to do it. I dream of sitting on the sofa, me & my DDog, glass of Prosecco, not thinking, just watching something good & relaxing. To just have a bit of time to myself would give me so much joy.

Instead, I work like a work horse all day then I make tea, wash up, clean up all the shite, ho to bed & start the same thing the next day.

Lighting a nice smelling candle at the end of the day and sitting down with a tea and some chocolate to watch Tv. My favourite time of day.

Lots of the things mentioned make me feel happy, but not 'blissfully' happy, as in I couldn't think of anything better. I think the only time I feel that is when I'm completely on my own and I know that my children are safe. That seems to be the time that I feel at peace and worry free and that, for me, is blissful.
