Where to eat in Bristol center

Love Bristol but haven't been for many years; have a weekend away booked soon with DH and two DC (11 and 6). We are reasonably adventurous eaters - not so much fussy Michelin food but certainly different cuisines. Any recommendations??

Also Mud Dock is fab, can't believe it's still going after all these years but is still great and has a fab position on the water.

Agree with Wapping Wharf - family favourites for us are The Athenian (but I think takeaway only), Bertha's pizza, Squeezed Burgers. There is also Asian cuisine, tapas, Mexican, veggie, fish and chips, I've never had a bad meal at any of them, they're excellent.

Bianchis - any of their places are delicious.

Pasta Loco, but you may struggle to get a table.

Zaa zaa Bazaar - your kids are likely to ADORE it, but I'd give Cosmo a wide berth.

There are also all the usual chain places etc available, but Bristol is a fantastic foodie spot.

The kids always want to go to za za bazaar a deluxe buffet. My favourite places are coconut tree (Sri Lankan) and little French (needs advanced reservations)

For more traditional pub atmosphere go to king Street, no idea on policy on kids as ours are 18+ but we like the atmosphere there and there's often live music for free. We also like the Cuban/central American place on the waterfront but can't remember the name, plus the boat that has tapas moored on the opposite bank

Theres usually street food stalls too, but often they are a bit overpriced, a lunch deal will probably be cheaper
