I love black woodwork but been told white walls are too cold? Beige?

This is the look I wanted throughout my new house but I keep being told it will look too cold.

It's mid terrace period with high ceilings, big bedrooms but 2 small reception rooms (may open them up together eventully)

Would beige work? Or nay other suggestions.

I am 100% on the black woodwork, I have it in one room in my house now and I love it.

Thank you @TheWy and agree with colour matching the farrow and ball.

@TheWy get yourself on Instagram! Absolutely loads of people are doing the beige walls with black woodwork like @troppibambini6 so you’ll have lots of ideas for various paint colours on various budgets!

I have black windows and light grey walls... I think it looks fab. It's Oslo by Colourtrend. The pic attached isn't my house but it's where I took my idea from! Have a look on the paint websites, there'll be loads of inspo pics. Undertones make a massive difference. You can get lots of help in independent paint shops, and they can colour match to trade paints. I would encourage you not to go too cheap & cheerful for paint though. The really cheap stuff (own brands by the big DIY stores for eg) can be false economy as you've to do more coats to get a good result. Especially if you're doing the work yourself...

For cheap as chips white get Dulux or Johnstones Trade White. Basically it’s plain white but without the brighteners they add to pure brilliant white which can make PBW seem cold. So a slightly warmer tone.

It is just white tho, so won’t work if you want any “hint of” effect.

A warm charcoal would look amazing. I'm tempted to paint my woodwork charcoal. I think it looks warmer but has that same striking effect.
