Slow cooker/curry will it dry out and stick

I'm using a slow cooker for the first time . I have made a chicken curry. I have added 400mls of coconut milk along with spices.

I have put it on for 5.5 hours. How do I know it won't all dry out and stick ? Burn the pot and ruin it all ?

I've not done it but usually with slow cooker you need less liquid than other methods as it doesn't loose liquid.

It just won't. There is little/no evaporation in a slow cooker. If anything it will be too runny. If this is the case I put it up to high and take the lid off whilst rice/veg is cooking. The whole point of a slow cooker is that it doesn't burn/stick.
I use mine most weeks, the only issues I've had is overcooking or if I've added pasta then I need to cook on low .

If you do get anything stuck in the dish it comes off really easy.

Your chicken curry isn't going to stick though.

The chicken will be over cooked. Chicken cooks very quickly. I’d use beef instead.

Agree that slow cooked meals always end up too wet as it doesn't lose water. It'll be fine unless it's incredibly dry or you leave it on high for a long time

I've never had a slow cooker run out of liquid. Are you using any veg as well? Usually it gets watery rather than too dry. As for chicken, it doesn't lend itself to a slow cooker, gets a weird texture (I find it inedible to be honest). Now if I need to use chicken, I cook everything else and then throw the chicken in only at the end for like an hour. That may defeat the point of a slow cooker though.

To late used chicken , also hate beef curry. Hope it does not overcook though

Turn the heat setting to low if you want it to be in for that long.
I do chicken curries in mine, I find 6 hours on a low heat is plenty. It won't dry out.
Use slow cooker liners. I won't use mine for anything without a liner.

Oh honestly don't worry op. I've cooked chicken in the slow cooker loads of times and it's completely fine. It'll be grand Smile and definitely won't dry out
