just looking for a few ideas!

Our skiing plans have been scuppered as BIL has just sold his apartment in Chatel (boo!). So we are planning on some nice days out visiting places we've always meant to get to, but never managed. Specifically, Bletchley Park, Warhammer World (DS and DH are massive fans), the National Space Centre and a show in London. We've decided to keep the dogs' kennel reservation, so we can do longer days out. Apart from that, DH plans to trim the hedge and get the garden straight for Spring. The kids and I will plant up some pots for Spring (since our puppy has dug up every last bulb in the back garden!) I'm hoping for some sunny days so we can do a few decent walks and perhaps head to the beach for fish and chips.

I quite fancy a trip to IKEA, and maybe the Museum of London in Docklands.

BrutusMcDogface · 03/02/2023 11:56

I was thinking I might paint the hallway, but reading the above reply makes me feel guilty for my kids so maybe I’ll take them out somewhere.

BrutusMcDogface · 03/02/2023 11:56

We are also going to IKEA! 😁

Park, museum. Free stuff.

Smarshian · 03/02/2023 11:58

Taking kids to the theatre and probably to Bewilderwood. Other than that I am working so grandma will have them a couple of days for trips out to the park/ library/ cafe

IKEA is brilliant. Full day out for the cost of a hotdog and an icecream :)

I'm working 2 of the days so DH will probably let them overdose on Kirby and Mario Party those days.

Taking kids to the cinema to see Puss in Boots. Bike rides/park for fresh air. Visit to local NT place for a walk and afternoon in the play area. Home movies, bit of baking and crafting and Lego. Kids are tired so trying to have a bit of a rest at home but keep them busy.

I am working, DH is in charge of the DC.
They need to go to the barbers/for dentist check ups and I imagine DH will do a couple of days out with DS1 on DS2s nursery days.

DS1s favourite daddy day out is to go bowling (also has an arcade) and then to pizza hut after.

The children are going to my parents and we’re working.

My brother has recently moved back to our parents after a marriage break up, and he’s also working, I’m not sure how that’s going to work for him Grin

Eldest has a Charities badge to do for Brownies while she’s there (one of my DM’s friends runs a baby bank type charity) so will send her with some donations and she’s going to help on the bric-a-brac stall one morning.

Other than that, it’s whatever Granny fancies, so probably several trips to home bargains for tat and sweets and lots of screen time!

City break in a European country - can’t wait!

sanityisamyth · 03/02/2023 13:00

4 days of it I'm running Cubs' events. Also got a full timetable of uni lectures (DS is going to have to come with me!) and my dissertation is due in on 1st March!

hopeishere · 03/02/2023 13:00

Also a city break - Berlin!
