Botox for 11 lines. How many injections, how much Botox?

For those who have had Botox, has anyone just focused on the 11 lines? I mean by just having injections in the central area between the brows and none over the actual brows?

Or did you have the Botox between the brow and over the brow too - how was/is it? Are you pleased? Can you still raise your eyebrows?

Would really appreciate hearing any experiences. I haven’t taken the plunge yet: I’m nervous!

Watching with interest op, I’m really interested in this too.

ElephantSlide · 01/02/2023 22:45

Are you nervous as well @Hollyhead ? I don’t want to look weird, but I feel like I want to just soften the perma-frown I’ve got going on between my brows.

Would love to hear some experiences.

Nervous and scared of starting a new expensive habit!

Ha yeah - I hear you!

Opposite way for me - 11s weren't a concern I just wanted horizontal lines gone, but dr said it's best to put a tiny bit in between brows too or it would look weird - doesn't charge me for a separate area though!
No idea how many units I close my eyes and think of England !

Bonheurdupasse · 01/02/2023 22:52

I've both the II lines and the forehead. I can raise my eyebrows, my forehead doesn't wrinkle (as much) when I do so.

BeckyWithTheGoodHair010101 · 01/02/2023 22:55

I had it just on my 11's for a good few years and got excellent results. I only recently had it on the rest of my forehead too, am really pleased with results, but I could have gone without the additional Botox.
Whatever you do, go to someone medically trained, preferably a prescriber. The industry is unregulated.

You're best off going for a consultation first to see what results you can expect. I paid £180 not sure how much was used

ElephantSlide · 01/02/2023 23:00

@BeckyWithTheGoodHair010101 Can I ask how many injections you had each time, when you just had the treatment between your brows? Were they all located between the brows or were some over the eyebrow?

Thanks!

I’ve had it several times just on the number 11s by three different practitioners.

One warned me that just doing the 11s and not any of the forehead lines would look odd but it doesn’t imo. They have to go up onto the forehead a bit with the injections as that’s where those muscles go/end. So they don’t literally just inject the space between your eyebrows, an experienced practitioner knows where to go, based on your specific muscle movements.

I’ve been doing it for about 4-5 years and it’s slowly destroying the very deep, pronounced lines I have there. I have no interest in any other area.

ElephantSlide · 02/02/2023 01:27

@TheOGCCL May I ask how many injections you have when you have that treatment? A practitioner I spoke to said we could start very lightly with three, but that there may not be the impact I hope for.

I had 5 for my 11's. One in the middle and 2 over each brow.

Readyforspringtime · 02/02/2023 07:40

I was told just 11s could make other areas over compensate and end up more wrinkled. As it happened I was botox resistant, and after a slight temporary tightness, I could fully frown as usual but feel my eyes instantly became hooded.

I had a few injections between the brows but after little effect, at my 2 week check up I had them on top of the brows and forehead. Again, just had a little tightness but still very frowny unfortunately.

Summerhillsquare · 02/02/2023 07:43

When I had the 11s done I think it was 3 or 4 injections. I went to a private GP who was a whizz with a needle so hardly felt a thing. But 175 quid!

TheOGCCL · 02/02/2023 08:26

@ElephantSlide I think maybe 2 on one side and 3 on the other (as one line deeper). I don’t think it’s so much about the number of injections but the strength with what they are injecting/how much is being injected.

I always make it very clear I don’t want anything too obvious, but yes that does mean it potentially doesn’t last as long. Any good practitioner offers a two week check where more can be added. Originally I didn’t want anything else at that point but now I tend to get a bit more just to make it last a bit longer.

ElephantSlide · 02/02/2023 16:06

Thanks all. It’s forbidding before you try it for the first time! Really good to hear your experiences. I just have to muster up the courage to take the first step - just so worried about the unknowns involved…but I do think it will boost my confidence.

I was just thinking how much botox helped me. I had a very pronounced frown, and got only my 11s done. Think it was 4 tiny injections, 2 each side. The first time I had it, I had to go back 2 weeks later for a review. I go every 4-6 months now.

ElephantSlide · 02/02/2023 16:15

Thanks @Discwriter - so none over the brows?

OP posts:
Nixynic · 02/02/2023 16:18

I started with just my 11s for about 18 months. My Dr warned me that as this area is greatly relaxed you might start using other muscles nearby more (eg forehead) and then lines might appear soon there. He was correct and I now have the 2 areas - 11s and forehead. Probably 5 injections for 11s area and 6-8 injections for forehead. Very pleased with the result, I have quite a lot of Botox put in and I can still raise my eyebrows up and down. Only thing I’d say is to make sure that your practitioner is a medical professional eg registered nurse or GP. Injectables aren’t regulated and any Tom dick or Harry can start offering it without enough experience or knowledge. Worth paying a little bit more for a professional.

Discwriter · 02/02/2023 19:37

@ElephantSlide yes, just the zaps on my 11s. I had my crows feet done once but made my nose crunch up when I smiled, so reverted back to only my 11s.
