£50 to spend in M&S food department: any good store cupboard recommendations?

I've been given a £50 M&S voucher and tomorrow I'm going past a flagship food store. My local M&S food department is small and limited so I thought I'd ask MN's advice.

I'm a good cook and rather than spend the money on ready meals that I can produce myself, I'd prefer to buy some store cupboard items that I can use when I'm short of time or to introduce new flavours and ingredients to my standard repertoire. What would you recommend?

Their individual large vegetable samosas ( near the sandwiches) are delicious and contain actual vegetables as opposed to vegetable mush.

It's the only place you can find Empress Grey tea bags which are a staple in our house.

The chunky steak in a tin is delicious.
My problem is it's always sold out!

We love M&S food and go there regularly as they have a good range of gluten free food. They have a lovely range of chocolate brownies with chocolate shavings on that aren't really obviously marked as being gluten free but they are and also taste divine.

Have been inspired to give their own brand ketchup a try by this thread. I can't believe the current price of Heinz ketchup nowadays and really need to find an alternative brand.

@mum2jakie I'm gluten free and have to agree about those brownies-!! Their gluten free frozen fishfingers are fantastic too

Vote for the teabags!

@pattihews I know you've already done the shop (and I don't know if this has already been mentioned)
BUT
if you like pistachio ice cream then M&S is the only place I've found tubs of it Wink
