Easiest Attic24 crochet blanket?

I would love to do one of these but they look tricky. I have been crocheting for a year and can make amigurumi.

TIA.

I haven’t done all the blankets. The granny stripe or baby granny blanket should be easiest I imagine. Or perhaps yuletide but I’m mostly saying that because I find working in rounds easier than rows.

Also, have you heard of Bella Coco? i made one of her circle of hope blankets which was really easy (and I did fewer colours which would have made it easier).

The ripple blankets are easy to follow once you get going. It takes a little while for me to do the first few rows, but once you have the pattern going correctly it’s very meditative and straight forward.

Most of them are variations on a (UK) treble so should be pretty easy. The ripples are probably easiest as it's the same thing back and forth. Her online instructions are great.

The worst part is the first couple of rows. I recommend going up a hook size for the foundation chain only, and mark every 20 or so chains to help you count. If you lose track at 150 it's a nightmare!

I think the granny square is the easiest one I've done. I'd avoid the ripples/waves as there will be more counting.

I replied on one of your other threads about Attic24, and really you just need to pick one and have a go! Lucy's tutorials are aimed at beginners and there are FB groups dedicated to her work where you can get extra help.

They are all pretty easy, and you can make any of the blankets from any of the kits, the moorland is lovely in the dune pack colours. The springfrost is working up lovely and quickly at the moment.

Ninjajay · 01/02/2023 13:01

The granny stripe is super easy! It took me almost a year as I am sooo slow with life etc getting in the way but I love the end result!!

NannyR · 01/02/2023 13:02

The ripple ones are pretty easy. I also did the moorland one which was slightly trickier to start off but once I got into the swing of things it was very easy.

RinklyRomaine · 01/02/2023 13:04

Granny stripe or Yuletide are both super easy. The pattern with the kit helps but it's all online as well.

Yddraigoldragon · 01/02/2023 13:07

I think hydrangea is the easiest, no issues with keeping sides straight and the pattern is v simple but looks lovely.

There isn't really once you've done your first row, as you do 3 stitches then two in same stitch, two in same and three stitches, join two, join two ... etc. So you only count to about 4, repeatedly!

yoshiblue · 01/02/2023 14:15

Fair enough! I’d be avoiding Moorland/Woodland though

MadisonAvenue · 01/02/2023 14:20

I did the Woodland blanket, I did a practice first to get the hang of the pattern as I hadn’t attempted a ripple before. It was easy though.

Seaitoverthere · 01/02/2023 14:30

Hydrangea is easy and as said above, the sides stay straight.

I put off trying these for ages but I am now on the springfrost one and actually doing it as the cal. This is my 3rd attic 24 blanket, although I take a lot longer than the cal so I’ve just done them at my own time throughout the year. I’ve done the Moorland and Dune previously and honestly I would be struggling to say which was the easiest. Maybe Moorland but there’s really not much in it. You should give it a go, I think you might just surprise yourself. Good luck!
