Tiredness

I’ve went from working 4 days a week to 5 days in a new job, also suffer from migraines. most of the time working from home, one day in the office (longish day, leave home at 7am, return at 7pm)

I don’t want to take any time off sick because of the migraines… but my gosh… I’m so tired. I’m usually very sociable but cannot find the energy just now.

today I felt like I was just so exhausted that I stayed in bed until the afternoon. Would wake for a few minutes when DH or DS came into the room. Was actually very confused as I was certain I was awake and up and about: but I was actually still sleeping.

DS is still well cared for as DH is a very hands on father: but jeeze, I feel terrible guilt for being like this

Don’t feel guilty, you cant help feeling wiped out.
Migraines always leave me feeling exhausted for a day or two. Add in an increase in your working days, and an extra long day, and it’s no wonder you needed to sleep.
I hope you feel better tomorrow Flowers

@CouldOfIsntRight thanks so much. Feel like a terrible mother and wife: just doing the bare minimum to get through life at the moment. DH has been doing lots with DS when I was asleep: sorted out his old clothes, sorted his wardrobe, got him ready for the day, practiced guitar, teaching him chess, took him to trampoline park, and brought back lunch for me. All the while I was sleeping

Migraines are a a killer. My mum suffers and she saw the consultant.

She was having around five migraine free days a month. She was affected for a day before during and several After the attack. She had Botox and eventually one of the new injectables. My mums were very severe and debilitating. Totally personality change. It took several years of working with the neurologist to reduce it from chronic to episodic to get this injectable drug.

I had chronic intense headaches and occasional migraines the headaches would come in later afternoon and would feel like a vice around skull. I would need to sleep an intense urge. The gp thought they were migraines and amitriptyline sorted me out. And now i almost never have a headache (2 per year maybe) I don't know why for so long I suffered with frequent headChes.

I how you feel better soon
