Found two of these in my front garden under the hedge, anyone know what they are?

Spider eggs.

Really big spiders

AwkwardPaws27 · 28/01/2023 16:03

Disposable vape?

wineymummy · 28/01/2023 16:07

Oh maybe, never used one so don't know what they look like but probably the most likely option.

Fireworks

Pinkmagic1 · 28/01/2023 16:10

Air gun cartridge?

ItsDefinitelyChocolate · 28/01/2023 16:11

A really REALLY old battery

Beepbeepenergy · 28/01/2023 16:28

Ive had them in my garden before and I was told they are some sort of cartridge/bullet

MrsCarson · 28/01/2023 16:32

I thought it looked like a shotgun cartridge rightaway

Poonicorn · 28/01/2023 16:34

Looks like a shotgun cartridge to me too.

Spanielsarepainless · 28/01/2023 16:40

Not a shotgun cartridge.

2Old2BABPpresenter · 28/01/2023 16:43

Not a shotgun cartridge, way too narrow. Trust me, I have recently taken my DS’s to a rifle range (they wanted to learn as Mummy did in the RAF). They had tonnes of used shotgun cartridges piled up around the car park, think used like wood clippings 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 DS’s insisted on picking some of the newer ones up.

Viviennemary · 28/01/2023 16:45

My first thought was a bit from a fire work.Might be an old battery

Changingplace · 28/01/2023 16:47

Looks like a really old battery to me.

CrescentMoons · 28/01/2023 16:47

Can you photo the ends?

Januaryisshit · 28/01/2023 16:54

Laughing gas cartridges?

Laughing gas cartridges?

No they’re like little silver things, I can’t describe them but that’s not one.

Nottelling15 · 28/01/2023 17:11

My guess is an old battery

Bluekerfuffle · 28/01/2023 17:49

I also vote for old battery. As a PP asked, does it have the usual battery + and - ends?

VenusClapTrap · 28/01/2023 17:51

It’s a rocket (firework). We get loads because the neighbours are very fond of their bonfire night parties and I’m picking them out of my shrubberies for months afterwards.

TheIsaacs · 28/01/2023 18:27

Looks like a very old Duracell battery to me.

alwaysmovingforwards · 28/01/2023 19:26

It's an old battery and the outer plastic layer they print the design on has deteriorated.

wineymummy · 28/01/2023 20:36

Sorry I was out for dinner and didn't see all the responses! Yes I was first thinking shot gun cartridge but because they're plastic it didn't seem right. Not laughing gas and I'm pretty sure not a battery tho the orange end does look like a battery. Something has definitely discharged from the inside so I'll assume it's a firework then. Thank you everyone for your insight. 🙏

They are too big to be an AA battery though I can see how they look like them.

Oh my God, I thought they were your hands!

ShakespearesBlister · 28/01/2023 21:56

These are the cartridges they put inside rockets to keep the powders for the different coloured sparks separate.
