Do all primaries have the same inset days in UK?

I’ve noticed all the primaries locally have the same inset days (always attached onto the school holiday)

Wondered if generally most or all primaries also share inset days?

looking to book a day out somewhere notoriously busy and queue-y on weekends/school holidays so thought inset day would be a good idea... but obviously it won’t make a difference if it’s the same everywhere!

It's the same thing. Occasionally also known as a Baker Day after Kenneth Baker who was education secretary and instigated them back when I was at junior school.

Might only be me who ever still calls them that though!

Everyone who has an inset that day will be thinking the same as you, it will still be rammed!

Lol no and if you are not at a very supportive school they text you about them about 6 days before hand and don't put them on their website!

Perhaps in a positive spirit suggest to the school they try choosing different ones next year. You could argue that if it gives parents with neurodiverse children (or parents) who struggle with crowds, it may given them the chance of going somewhere without too much difficulty or pain.
